NOTE:  We ended up not having a business meeting as planned.  We had approximately 16 members attend with 2 guests.  It seemed not to make sense to hold a business meeting.  I’ve made some brief notes/remarks on this agenda to keep us up to date until our June meeting which will be held at the church.

Business Meeting Agenda

  1. Approval of the April 9th minutes will take place at our June meeting. 
  • Brief Treasurer’s Report – Balance as of the April 23rd Bank Statement:  $4,072.88
  • Committee Reports / Project Updates:
    • Membership Update – New member joined our club:  Tami Gaston who was a guest of Jennifer Buss’ at today’s outing.  
    • Budget Committee met and set a budget for 2024-2025.  The budget will be sent out prior to June’s meeting for all club members to review.  We plan to vote on the new budget in June.
  • Garden Club Updates and Info to share:  Jennifer Buss
    • Membership dues are due at the end of May.  If you haven’t already sent in your dues to continue your membership, please do so no later than 5/31/2024.  If they are not received by the end of June 30th, they will be considered delinquent per HVGC bylaws and subject to cancellation of your membership for the following year.  Please get them in.
    • The bylaws committee made a change to the wording in the HVGC bylaws Article IV section 2 to be more specific about household dues.  We will review that in June.
