Business Meeting Agenda

  1. Treasurer’s Report: Sandy Platz reported that there is $2185.50 in the club’s treasury.
  • Minutes of the February Meeting: A final draft of the minutes was emailed, amended, submitted for posting to the HVGC website, and stands approved.
  • Updates:

Julie Lund spoke about the passing of Leta Wyler. She joined the Garden Club in the early 2000’s and was Diane Bryant’s long-time neighbor. We are awaiting information from Leta’s family regarding services for her. Members are encouraged to submit to Wendy any photos of Leta to be passed on to the family so that they can include some in her remembrance.

A survey was distributed asking members about presentation content, field trips, and meeting length, and other activities.

Our Clackamas District Meeting and Luncheon: Takes place on April 2, at Apostolic Faith Church, 5414 SE Duke Street, (Gate 3) in the church’s lodge. Registration and payment ($25) needed by March 26. Please make checks to HVGC and submit them to Sandy Platz. The speaker will be Sherry Sheng. HVGC’s auction item is a quilt made and donated by Katherene Kerner. Additionally, an auction “Relaxation” basket is being assembled from members’ donations. Margie McDonald is contributing a centerpiece for the table. We need sales table items and volunteers to manage the registration table.

Spring Garden Fair: May 2-3, hosted by Clackamas County Master Gardener’s Association, at the Clackamas County Fair and Event Center in Canby. There will be an information table, and we need volunteers for this. Please contact Julie to sign up. The table will offer information about all the clubs in the Clackamas District and is also part of the HVGC Sustainability Committee’s effort to promote garden club membership.
